Warm tips before the installation:
After installing the wheel bands, please drive at the speed less than 40km/h for the first two
Please make sure your wheels are clean and all invisible tire shine products are removed;
For some Model X owners, who might be not sure your wheels are clean enough or there are any tire shine products, please simply cut a small test stripe (around 1") of the mounting track and test it on the rim. If the test stripe is easily removed by sliding or pushing with normal pressure, it means your wheels are not clean enough. If the test stripe sticks to the rim strongly and cannot be removed with normal pressure, then you may start to install.
1. Wash the wheel and allow to thoroughly dry. Then use a prep wipe to remove residue and contaminants from wheel rims; 2. Peel off a short section of the backing tape from the mounting track and lightly press down the track to align and mount in position around the rim; 3. Mark where the track ends meet and cut at the mark with sharp cutter or score with a knife; 4. Snap off excess track. Lightly press the last section of track into place; 5. Insert the color track, mark and cut 1mm longer and squeeze the ends together; 6. Check the wheel rim protector and secure both insert and mounting track. Repeat for other wheels.
Please note 1. Within 2 to 3 hours after the wheel bands are installed, please don't drive; 2. Within 24 hours after the wheel bands are installed, please drive at the speed of less than 113km/h; 3. Within 48 hours after the wheel bands are installed, please don't wash your car; 4. Within one week after the wheel bands are installed, please avoid water.
